Three More Reasons Why Every Expecting Mom Needs Maternity Photos
Maternity photos give are a beautiful way to freeze a special moment in time on a family’s journey. As a Maryland Maternity Photographer, documenting the powerful moment of bringing life into the world is a special and emotional time not only for the family, but for me as well. No matter the journey, it’s important to document this fleeting moment in time. Nine months feels like a long time - especially those last few weeks when you are ready for baby to arrive already - but in the scheme of things, its a fraction of time in a woman and her family’s story.

1. Document the milestone in your motherhood journey
Are you a first time mom? Is this your second child? Have you decided that this will be your last child? Whatever the milestone may be for you as a mom; its a special time to document how you look and feel as you live through a milestone in your motherhood journey.
2. Celebrate your family bonds
Once baby arrives, there will be a lot of attention on the baby and rightfully so. Maternity photos give you a chance to have a few quiet moments with each other before the baby’s arrival. If this is not your first born child older siblings are going to be adapting to having another child in the house. Take a few moments to document the current baby (or babies of the household).
Parents, you are going to be busy once that little bundle of joy arrives. Maternity photos give you a chance for a few last quiet moments, maybe for a while. They also give you a chance to reflect on the foundation you have have built together and all of the adventures that are yet to come as parents (or repeat parents).
3. It’s a gift for the entire family
In my previous post, 3 Reasons Why Every Expecting Mother Should Get Maternity Photos, I talked about how these photos will be a gift for your baby. Well maternity photos are also a gift for the entire family! They are photos that you can look back on as the baby grows. They also are a chance to document your current family dynamic. Maternity photos are something every member of your immediate family can enjoy, as well as your extended family, especially those who may not get a chance to see you before baby arrives.
