Featured in Inspired Magazine!

As a Maryland Family Photographer, it’s always a privilege to work with families to document their special moments in time. It’s an honor to be trusted with such precious memories. I am thrilled to announce that an image from one of my newborn photography sessions was featured in the March 2020 edition of Inspired Magazine, published by The National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP).

Inspired magazine features the work of so many talented artists. I am humbled to have my work along side such incredible photographers. Each month, the issue includes a theme and photographers are invited to submit photos within the theme. This month, the theme was “Fill the Frame.”

I selected this image because of the little girl’s joy; it just also makes me smile. I captured this image during an in-home lifestyle newborn photography session. During newborn sessions, I always make it a point to capture images of older siblings on their own. I remember exactly how this image came about. I asked the little girl to "find the rainbow" in my lens. To see the “rainbow” she had to peer deep into my lens and get really close to the camera. Once I got her close enough, I tickled her belly, which got me a nice big smile. I started pulling back from her, she pointed at me as I pulled away and voila!

It was a joy to work with this little girl and her family. I absolutely love working with families to document priceless memories. During this tough and crazy time we’re all experiencing, I look forward to being able to return to more moments like this.
