Family is everything! The year 2020 has reminded us all how important our loved ones are and how we shouldn’t take the ability to spend time together for granted. Despite all the challenges we’ve faced, there have still been milestones to celebrate and moments together that we can cherish. As a Maryland Photographer, it’s been an honor and privilege to work with families to document happy moments during such a tough year.
This gorgeous family was so much fun to work with. They wanted to document some milestone birthdays, their time together as a family, and twenty years of marriage! And they wanted to do it, by the river at a location that has been a peaceful outdoor getaway for them. They were such troopers as they braved frigid temperatures that had arrived just a few days before. A week before it was in the 60s almost up in the 70s! True to Maryland’s indecisive weather those mild winter temperatures were quickly replaced with more seasonal, near freezing temperatures. What you can’t see is me behind the scenes in my multiple layers, gloves and hat; they made it look like it was a beautiful summer day! And the glow of the sunset did not disappoint and displayed the glory of nature’s beauty.
We had such a great time spending a quiet afternoon together, laughing, having fun and making new memories. You can really tell that this family loves each other. I have to admit I may have shed a tear or two while editing these photos because you can just feel the love. As a Maryland Photographer, I always love it when I am reminded why I do what I do. Being able to document special family moments like this is absolutely priceless.
